Chef Anthony Caldwell announced earlier this week that after two years in business, 50Kitchen will close its doors in February.

According to a social media post, the Fields Corner restaurants day will be February 12th. See announcement below:

It is with great sadness that we announce that 50Kitchen will be closing its doors this February. This was a difficult decision to make, but a necessary one. We understand that many of our fans will be sad to hear this news, but we would not like to focus on the negatives. Although we are sad that we will soon close our doors, we are grateful for what we were able to do and accomplish in just two years. We hope we can see you at our restaurant before we close, we will be open with our normal hours for the next few weeks.

After cooking for years at Boston’s universities and hotels, Caldwell decided to open his first restaurant in 2020! According to Boston Eater, Caldwell got the opportunity to open 50Kitchen when he won a pitch event sponsored by the Fields Corner Collaborative and Travis Lee (the owner of the space that houses 50Kitchen). Caldwell also appeared on the Food Network’s Chopped Martha’s Rules back in May!

Inspired by the rich, diverse, cultural community of Dorchester, 50Kitchen’s menu pays homage to both American Southern and Asian cuisine!

Stop by and show your support before closing day.
