International Women’s Day
March 8th is International Women’s Day! We say support our women-owned small businesses in the neighborhood with some retail therapy! South Boston and Dorchester are filled with some amazing women-owned and operated businesses from boutiques to fitness studios to salons! Get a blowout! Take a class! Book a facial! Treat yourself to a new pair of earrings! Here’s a list of them and we encourage you to get out there and show your support!
Flecha Azul Tequila Bottle Signing with Mark Wahlberg
Dorchester’s own Mark Wahlberg will be in town at that new Total Wines at South Bay for a signing of his tequila brand – Flecha Azul Tequila on Saturday from 2pm-4pm.
Dine Out Boston is Back

Save the Date – Karaoke Night
Dorchester Day Parade presents – Karaoke Night at Ghost Pepper Taco + Tequila Bar on Wednesday, March 29th from 7pm-9pm. $10 to sing all night. $1 to vote for the best singer! Parade t-shirts will also be for sale!
BPDA Community Meeting – March 13th
A meeting of the general public to review the proposed 247 Hancock Street, Dorchester development will take place on Monday, March 13th at 6pm. Please note that this is a Public Meeting. The meeting will begin with a 45-minute presentation of the project by the development team, followed by 45 minutes of public Q&A. The Project is a multifamily residential development comprised of a six-story building that will contain 47 residential units, approximately 1,500 square feet of public open space, 18 accessory off-street parking spaces and 57 bike storage spaces.
