Friday, February 27, 2026 – Mayor Michelle Wu and the Community Engagement Cabinet announced the first-ever Office Hours, a family-friendly one-stop opportunity for Boston residents from across the city to connect directly with the Mayor, City services, and department staff to have their questions or concerns answered in real time. The event will take place on Thursday, March 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building in Roxbury.  Get the details here.

Return of The Ice Creamsmith

For over 50 years, The Ice Creamsmith in Lower Mills has been churning out delicious made-from-scratch ice cream!  Making their ice cream in small batches on-site – (it goes from production to scoop in as little as 24 hours), the Ice Creamsmith has been delighting generations with their sweet treats!  It will open for its 50th season on March 1st!

Red Line Service Change

Red Line riders can expect longer travel times on the Braintree Branch nightly from 8 PM, to end of service, beginning on Feb 28. This is to allow for critical signal work near JFK/UMass. MBTA.com/ColumbiaJunction
