WBZ New Radio is reporting that the MBTA confirms 30 employees have tested positive for COVID-19. 18 of the 30 cases are bus drivers, one case is a subway driver and another case is a trolley driver. No word on which routes the drivers worked on.
The MBTA announced earlier this week it has initiated a temperature-testing program for its employees at Cabot Garage in South Boston – on the MBTA’s largest facilities. The testing will also expand to the Charlestown garage soon.
If an MBTA employee has a temperature of over 100 degrees – they will be sent home.
