3-alarm fire in Dorchester Three Decker on Friday Night

BFD responded to a call at 20 Normandy Street around 8pm on Friday. Fire was showing and quickly escalating to three alarms with heavy fire in the cockloft and roof.
Firefighters led an intense interior and exterior attack amid reports of spongy roofs and sagging structures, knocking down heavy fire by 9 p.m.
No injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation.
The Boston Fire Department reminds everyone to test smoke alarms and plan escapes, especially in multi-family homes this cold season.
