Around 2:50am on Friday, BFD responded to a call for heavy fire showing on the second and third floor of an occupied three-family home at 15 Castlerock Street in Savin Hill. A third alarm was ordered.
The rear porches of the building collapsed but eventually the fire was knocked down. Four adults and two children have been displaced. One cat was rescued but unfortunately another one was not. Damages are estimated at $800,000. No word yet on what started the fire.
