A new $4 million, four-story building has been proposed to the BPDA at 226 Magnolia Street – complete with 28 teeny-tiny studios.
According to Universal Hub, Shanti Acquisition of Dorchester filed its plans under Boston’s “compact living” pilot allowing for smaller than normal size units. The units range from 356 to 398 square feet rather than the normal 450 square feet the city requires for new studios.
The building will not have parking but will have storage for up to 50 bicycles.
