At about 6:30 PM on Sunday May 16, 2021, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested a 16-year-old male from Roxbury on firearm related charges after responding to a call for a person with a gun in the area of 7 Coleus Park in Dorchester. Officers were informed that a large group of non-residents had gathered near the property and were provided a description of one individual who appeared to be armed with a firearm. On arrival, officers located the male matching the given description and performed a pat frisk, leading to the recovery of a loaded .380 caliber Cobra ENT Model CA-380 handgun from the front waist band area of his pants. The suspect was placed in custody without incident and the remaining individuals on scene were FIO’d and released.
The suspect will appear in Dorchester Juvenile Court on charges of Delinquent to Wit: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
