From MSP News:
At approximately 11:25 PM Thursday Massachusetts State Police were notified of a shooting that occurred in the area of Albert and Prentiss streets in Boston’s Southwest Corridor. Patrols from the State Police-Boston Barracks and Boston Police responded.
Responding Troopers and Officers determined that a 15-year-old female suffered injuries believed to be non-life threatening. The victim, a Dorchester resident, was transported to Boston Medical Center by Boston EMS. She remains hospitalized and is expected to survive her injuries.
Preliminary investigation suggests the girl was shot during an altercation between two groups. The investigation by State Police detectives is ongoing. No arrests have been made as of this time. Troopers from the State Police Crime Scene Services Section and Firearm Identification Section processed the scene. The location of the shooting is under state jurisdiction.
No further information is being released at this time.
