Dorchester’s Museum of Bad Art Gets National Attention from The Washington Post

Who says bad art can’t be good? Dorchester’s very own Museum of Bad Art (MOBA), located inside Dorchester Brewing Company, is getting some national attention thanks to a recent feature in The Washington Post.
The museum, which celebrates artwork that’s so bad it’s good, was founded in 1993 and has collected nearly 900 pieces from thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets, and even the trash. The collection includes everything from unusual portraits to paintings that leave visitors scratching their heads.
According to The Washington Post, the museum takes its bad art seriously. Each piece must be original, interesting, and have something that went a little wrong along the way.
Located at 1250 Massachusetts Ave., the museum is free to visit. So, grab a beer, check out some questionable masterpieces, and appreciate a little bad art right here in Dorchester.
