Man Killed in Midday Dorchester Shooting; BPD Investigating
Boston Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Dorchester on Wednesday morning.
According to police, officers responded to a 911 call for a person shot on York Street at approximately 11:53 a.m. Officers and Boston EMS arrived to find an adult man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the victim, who is thought to be in his late 20s, had been riding a motorized scooter that was found nearby.
The Boston Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. Ballistic evidence was recovered in the area of Glenway Street, and the crime scene remains active. No arrests have been made.
