According to WBZ-TV I-Team sources, a 14-year-old girl was seriously injured in a shooting in Dorchester on Wednesday night.

Boston Police responded to Milton Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. following reports of a person shot. Sources tell WBZ that the teenage girl was shot in the stomach during what appeared to be a house party.

She was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Police said her condition remains unknown.

Several individuals were detained at the scene as part of the ongoing investigation, including two teenagers, according to WBZ sources. A firearm was also recovered.

Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, Boston Police Homicide detectives are now leading the investigation.

At this time, it’s unclear what led to the shooting. No additional details have been released.
