Puppy Love at BFD Meeting House Hill in Dorchester

Over the weekend, a resident found a black Lab mix puppy hobbling outside near the Boston Fire Department, Meeting House Hill firehouse.  The female puppy wasn’t wearing a collar and appeared to have been abandoned in the neighborhood, some guessed maybe because of her injury.

The above post quickly went viral on social, with readers wondering if this would become the new Firehouse Dog.

The firefighters kept her overnight, hoping someone would come looking for her. But no one did.  According to someone in the know, City of Boston Animal Control reached out to the firehouse after seeing the video on Facebook. It was decided that one of the firefighters would take the puppy to the vet and then give her a forever home as her owner.

As of now, no one has been looking for the sweet puppy with the hurt leg.
