At about 7:00 AM on Thursday, April 1, 2021, officers assigned to the BPD Fugitive Unit along with the Randolph Police Department located and arrested Jarrid Campbell, 18 of Randolph and Christ Daphnis, 19, of Randolph in Randolph by virtue of an outstanding straight warrant.

The warrant was issued out of Suffolk Superior Court on charges of: Murder, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of a Firearm without an FID card, and Discharging a Firearm within 500 feet of a Building, stemming from a fatal shooting that occurred at about 1:17 AM on Sunday, September 27, 2020, where officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 16 Hubbardston Road in Dorchester. Officers located an unresponsive male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds at that location. The victim, Keenan Ritter, 28, of Dorchester, was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS.

Both Campbell and Daphnis will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
