Did you know you can get your birth certificate online now? You can get a copy of a birth certificate for anyone who was born at a hospital or home in Boston, or whose parents listed Boston as their residence at the time of the birth. You will just need to upload a photocopy of your valid ID (a driver’s License, state ID, or passport), and any other required documents when making your request. Cost is $14 per copy. Food lovers rejoice!

It’s the 11th Annual Taste of Dorchester! For one night only, over 25 restaurants will come together for a night of food, fun and raising money for Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance. Head to the Local 103 IBEW Hall on Thursday, April 25th from 6pm-8pm and let the eating begin! Enjoy live jazz music by Sleeping Bee. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased here!

Tapas Night at Caffe Zia Gianna

On Thursday nights in April, Caffe Zia Gianna is hosting a special Italian tapas night complete with beer, wine and signature cocktails. The fun takes place from 5pm-9pm and will feature a new menu every week! No reservations needed, just walk in and eat and drink!

Mattapan Trolley Study

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and the MBTA will hold a public meeting to discuss the results of the Mattapan Trolley Line Study. Thursday, April 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lower Mills Branch Public Library, 27 Richmond St, Dorchester. MassDOT and the MBTA will present the results of the study and solicit feedback from members of the public. Two years ago, the MBTA sought and received public input on the future of the Mattapan Line. The MBTA considered immediate and long term needs and as a result, $7.9M has been invested to upgrade the existing system and vehicle fleet to ensure continued service to the community for the next 8-10 years.
