MassDOT and the MBTA are hosting three meetings re:Mattapan Trolley Study

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and the MBTA will hold three public meetings to discuss the results of the Mattapan Trolley Line Study. The times and locations for the public meetings are as follows:

  • Wednesday, March 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the ABCD, 550 River St, Mattapan.
  • Tuesday, April 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Milton Council on Aging, 10 Walnut St, Milton.
  • Thursday, April 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lower Mills Branch Public Library, 27 Richmond St, Dorchester.

MassDOT and the MBTA will present the results of the study and solicit feedback from members of the public. Two years ago, the MBTA sought and received public input on the future of the Mattapan Line. The MBTA considered immediate and long term needs and as a result, $7.9M has been invested to upgrade the existing system and vehicle fleet to ensure continued service to the community for the next 8-10 years.
