UPDATE: Lola the Shih Tzu has been found!  According to a post on twitter by BPD, Lola was reunited with her owner.  No charges are expected to be filed.

Boston police need your help in locating a Shih Tzu named Lola dognapped from outside the Dollar Store on Columbia Road!  See report below:

BPD Seeks Public’s Help in Effort to Identify Suspect Wanted for Dognapping in Dorchester:  The BPD is releasing an image (see photo) of an individual wanted in connection to a dognapping incident in Dorchester in hopes of identifying the person seen in the photo. The facts and circumstances are as follows: At about 9:30pm, on Monday, December 31, 2018, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) spoke to a pet owner who stated that his dog had been stolen from outside the Dollar Store at 273 Columbia Rd in Dorchester. According to the victim, he discovered that his dog had been stolen when he exited the store. The dog, who goes by the name Lola, is a Shih Tzu breed, black and white in color. 

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact District C-11 Detectives at (617) 343-4335.

The Boston Police Department will stringently guard and protect the identities of all those who wish to help this investigation in an anonymous manner.
