Hold your horses!  Seven townhouses is too large for such a small street!   This is basically what the Zoning Board of Appeals told developer David Higgins in reference to his project proposed for Plain Street between Oakton Ave. and Chickatawbut Street.  This proposed project included (7) two-bedroom units with ten parking spots.

According to Universal Hub, the board rejected the project based on the fact it was too dense for a neighborhood full of single families.   It was rejected “without prejudice” which means Higgins can come back with a proposal for a smaller project.

The mayor’s office and the offices of city councilors Frank Baker and Michael Flaherty were opposed to the proposed project.

Stay tuned.
