Eat, Drink & Be Charitable!  Mix and mingle with friends, neighbors and the Leahy Holloran Center for a Holiday Cocktail Reception and $10,000 drawing on Wednesday, December 5th from 5:30pm-8:30pm at Landmark Public House – 772 Adams Street.  Drawing ticket includes $10,000 raffle entry, admission for 2 – 2 drink tickets and complimentary hors d’oevres.  Tickets are $100.  For more info visit here! 

Make a mosaic! Join in the Lower Mills Branch Library on Thursday, December 6th from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to make a holiday mosaic in this hands-on beginner mosaic workshop. Participants will design and make a 6” x 6” glass mosaic art panel to keep. Each student should bring ideas about a design they would like to create and register by phone.

Lace up your sneakers and put on your Santa hat! It’s the Dorchester Running Club’s fourth annual Halfway to Dot Day 5k Road Race! This fun run takes place on Saturday, December 8th at 9am!It’s a family friendly run for all ages and abilities along the paths of DCR’s Pope John Paul Park in Dorchester and is certified and sanctioned by USA Track and Field – New England.  After the race take part in the Mayor’s Toy Drive and Breakfast at Florian Hall – all youth under 12 who donate a toy are registered at no cost. Registration for adults and teenagers is just $20. All registrants will receive a long-sleeve shirt and finishers will receive a handmade, one-of-a-kind holiday ornament!

Sip, Shop, and Santa! On Saturday, December 8th at 1pm head to The Bowery Bar and get into the holiday spirit! Indoors there will have a Christmas market inside with goods from wonderful local vendors along with complementary nibbles. Meanwhile, outside on our patio, Santa will be visiting to take photos with the kiddos and hot cocoa and cookies will be served. Local Vendors include: Back Bay Watch Co, Camden Hydes, Habit, Wears + Wares, Wolfie’s All Natural Treats and 4103 Designs! 

Light it up! Get in the spirit before the Adams Corner tree lighting at the Old Dorchester Post on Sunday, December 8th!  The Cedar Grove Civic Association has organized a special family friendly event at 5:30pm on Sunday.  Enjoy pizza, music, arts & crafts, face painting, hot cocoa and more!  Then at 7pm Santa Claus and his posse of merrymakers will be on hand for the Mayor’s Enchanted Trolley Tour! The Mayor’s Enchanted Trolley Tour will continue the festive tradition of lighting holiday trees while bringing holiday spirit to children across Boston. Sunday, December 9th at 7 p.m.
