On a beautiful Sunday morning, a small crowd gathered at the Dorchester Vietnam Veterans Memorial.  The City of Boston Credit Union presented the Dorchester Vietnam Veterans Memorial Committee with a check for $15,000 to assist in repair efforts after the memorial was vandalized in late October. The memorial, located near the University of Massachusetts Boston, was established 33 years ago to honor Dorchester veterans and their legacy.  with a check for $15,000 to assist in repair efforts after the memorial was vandalized in late October. The memorial, located near the University of Massachusetts Boston, was established 33 years ago to honor Dorchester veterans and their legacy.

Out of respect of the names listed on the memorial and being a part of the neighborhood, we decided to help out the  Dorchester Vietnam Veterans Memorial Committee.  We realize it’s so important to give back.  We were honored to work with Mayor Marty Walsh and help out a great neighborhood organization,” said City of Boston Credit Union Board Chairman, Timothy Smyth.
