Eat:
Back to basics! Ashmont Grill is hosting a Basic B Brunch on Saturday, November 17th beginning at 10am. What does that mean? Think pumpkin spiced lattes, all things apple, vodka sodas, buckets of bubbles, and all the things fun. Throw on a pair of Uggs and a North Face and you’re ready to go!

Drink:
Head to Dorchester Brewing for their Fall Fest on Saturday, November 17th beginning at 11am. Enjoy donuts, pretzels BBQ and a special fall beer release of our new Sour Grapes beer made with locally sourced grapes and a DJ to end the night. Celebrate the season of fall before we head into the Winter months and start our Boston hibernation.

Check out some new art at the Dorchester Art Project this weekend! On Saturday November 17th Divergences: New Works by Will Whelan Opening Reception will take place 5-8pm. Also this weekend on Saturday and Sunday F***! Now What?! Musical Readings from 7-9pm 13+. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays 12-6pm!

Do:
Trap that grease! Just in time for Thanksgiving! Boston Water and Sewer will be giving away free grease lids to shoppers at Stop and Shop at South Bay Mall on November 16th, 17th and 18th. This is a way to remind home chefs not to pour cooking fats, oils and grease (FOG)down the drain! Stop by and you’ll get a handy dandy grease lid for your kitchen drain!

Sip:
Yellow Door has a new fall cocktail menu!  Infused with a variety of fruits, spices and florals, these cocktails are 100% instagrammable.

Learn:
Calling all history buffs! On Sunday, November 18th at 2pm, head to the the William Clapp House – 195 Boston Street, the Dorchester Historical Society will host a special event to learn about the 26th Yankee Division and Massachusetts in World War I. Brigadier General Leonid Kondratiuk, Director of Historical Services at the Adjutant General’s Office of the Massachusetts National Guard, will discuss the 26th Infantry “Yankee” Division and its role in World War I.

Dance:
dbar is continuing with a decades celebration on Saturday, November 17th 10pm-2am with the 80’s. Plan on dancing the night away with DJ Jay Ine!

Register:
Lace up your sneakers and put on your Santa hat! It’s the Dorchester Running Club’s fourth annual Halfway to Dot Day 5k Road Race! This fun run takes place on Saturday, December 8th at 9am!It’s a family friendly run for all ages and abilities along the paths of DCR’s Pope John Paul Park in Dorchester and is certified and sanctioned by USA Track and Field – New England. After the race take part in the Mayor’s Toy Drive and Breakfast at Florian Hall – all youth under 12 who donate a toy are registered at no cost. Registration for adults and teenagers is just $20. All registrants will receive a long-sleeve shirt and finishers will receive a handmade, one-of-a-kind holiday ornament!
