One 7-Eleven worker got hit in the face with bottle of iced tea while his co-worker used a trash barrel to defend himself in an armed robbery in Dot.  See police report below from BPD news:

At about 12:06 AM on Saturday, November 3, 2018, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 187 East Cottage Street (7-Eleven) in Dorchester. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated two male suspects had entered the store and demanded the cash from the register, refusing, the victim stated one the suspects then threw a bottle of iced tea at the victim, striking him in the face. The victim stated the suspects then fled the store before re-entering and attempting to stab his coworker. Officers spoke to the second victim who stated one of the suspects walked behind the counter and attempted to stab the victim multiple times. The victim stated he used a trash barrel to defend himself from the suspect’s knife strikes. Officers were able to locate the male suspects and placed them under arrest.  

Officers arrested Johenmie Garcia, 23-years-old of Jamaica Plain as well as a 14-year-old male juvenile of Dorchester. Garcia is charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Unarmed Assault to Rob, Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon, and two counts of Assault and Battery on a Police Officer. The juvenile male is charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Attempted Armed Robbery. Both males are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
