A 24-year-old woman was shot in the area of Charles and Ditson Streets on Monday night around 9:30pm. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. This is Boston’s 47th homicide of the year.

Death Investigation in the area of 47 Charles Street in Dorchester: At about 9:36pm, on Monday, October 15, 2018, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to an outside scene for a person shot in the area of Charles and Ditson Streets in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located a 24-year-old female victim suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Boston Police Department continues to actively investigate the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to contact Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
