Women in History!  The Dorchester Historical Society will host a special event to highlight the role of the Woman Suffrage movement in Massachusetts. Barbara Berenson, author of Massachusetts in the Woman Suffrage Movement, will be discussing her book and highlight some of the prominent suffrage activists from before the Civil War, such as Lucy Stone, who lived on Boutwell Street and was considered a major voice in the movement.

The first National Woman’s Rights Convention held in Worcester in 1850 was organized by some of these women! The event will be taking place next Sunday, October 14th 2018 from 2PM to 4PM, at the Dorchester Historical Society – 195 Boston St. This is event is free and open to the public. You can RSVP here!
