BFD responded to a call for a fire at 16 Saco Street at approximately 1:04pm on Tuesday. Upon arrival, heavy fire was showing and a second alarm was ordered. According to Boston Fire, the fire began in a tree and quickly spread to the 3-story/6 unit residential building. (Although not confirmed, it is believed the fire was started by a cat playing with matches.)
All residents safely evacuated. No injuries reported at this time.
