The Fun Dad  Let’s hear it for the fun dad! The dad who lets you eat cake for dinner and stay up late when mom isn’t home. Boston Bowl is the perfect spot to celebrate your fun dad. In addition to bowling Boston Bowl has air hockey, billiards, batting cages and lots of video games! The Franklin Park Zoo is offering free admission for all dads on on Father’s Day! Fun dads love the zoo!

The Stay at Home Dad  I mean this in both the dad who stays home and take care of the kids and the dad who would rather stay home on the couch and relax than hit the town.  This dad very much likes to be comfy, so a cozy hoodie is the perfect gift.  And our pic for a cozy hoodie?  College Hype.  We literally do not know anyone in Dot who wouldn’t love a Dorchester hoodie!

The Well-Groomed Dad  The well-groomed dad did not wake up like this, it takes work!  You can put together a day of very masculine pampering at Lola Beauty with customized facials and waxing.  We promise it won’t be anything like The 40 Year Old Virgin.

The Fit Dad  Does the dad in your life start every day with a protein shake or quick 6 mile run?  We can’t think of a better way to kick off Father’s Day than by participating in the McKeon Post Father’s Day Road Race. On Sunday, June 17th at 10am join the McKeon post for a 5K walk or 5K run. Enjoy a post race cookout immediately after! Pre-registration $25, race day registration is $30. You can register here!

The Cool Dad  I’m saying this in a mocking, Amy Poehler in Mean Girls “cool mom” kind of way, I’m being earnest.  Anyhoo, go get the dad in your life a pair of Ray-Bans at Boston Eyeworks right on Dot Ave.  Can you even be cool without a pair of Ray-Bans?  I don’t think you can, and I say this as someone who isn’t cool, and doesn’t have a pair of Ray-Bans.

Beer Lover Dad This dad loves his beer! Why not surprise him with a trip to Dorchester Brewing! Hit the tap room and order up a flight or 20 revolving taps and take a tour of the brewery! Dorchester Brewing also has gift cards too!

Every Dad  I’m pretty sure the perfect Sunday for every dad would include a great meal in the neighborhood. Lower Mills Tavern is celebrating with brunch and dinner! Dad can enjoy sinking his teeth into the LMT Father’s Day special: 12 oz rib eye with habanero cheddar grits, seared bróccolini and Porcini Beurre blanc! The Industry is offering late afternoon brunch crafted by Chef Brian Rossi. Head in for breakfast favorites and bloody mary’s, while you sit back to live music from local artist, Derrick Keane. Reservations are recommended, so call ahead to book your table.
