BPD Youth Violence Strike Force arrest two suspects on Mount Ida Road for firearm and motor vehicle charges.  See report below: 

At about 2:30 PM on Saturday May 19, 2018, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested two suspects on firearm and motor vehicle related charges during an investigation in the area of 47 Mount Ida Road in Dorchester. The officers had stopped a stolen Honda Civic and removed the operator, Brian Ortiz, 18, of Dorchester and passenger, Romeo Miller, 20, of Mattapan, at which time they recovered a loaded .380 caliber Lorcin model L380 handgun from inside the vehicle. Both suspects were placed in custody without incident and will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
