See:
Let’s go to the movies! A free Thursday night movie series kicks off at Pope John Paul II Park in Neponset on Thursday August 9th with a screening of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle at dusk. The movies continue on Aug. 16 (Coco), Aug. 23 (Beauty and the Beast), and Aug. 30 (Thor: Ragnarok.) Rain cancels. Don’t forget you chair or blanket!

Do:
Stilt walkers and dancers from the Brooklyn Jumbies will lead the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s Neighborhood Night Block Party, celebrating the cycles of the Earth and cosmos. Everyone is welcome to join in the evening of art and performance inside and in front of the Museum along Evans Way Park – which is free and open to the public on Thursday, August 9 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more details visit here!

Ride:
Join the City of Boston for the 3rd Annual Bike Ride for Peace on Sunday, August 12th at 1pm! Ride will begin and end at Franklin Park Zoo entrance! This is a family friendly event!

Sing:
Head to dbar for dinner and stay for karaoke! Every Friday night beginning at 10pm, karaoke unlike no other, kicks off the weekend!

Run:
Lace up those sneakers and Dorchester Running Club for an evening run and post run social hour at a local Dot establishment! Fun run starts at 7pm! Follow them on Facebook to find out the meet up spot! Thursday, August 9th spot is Ashmont Grill!
It’s a great way to meet new people and stay in shape! You can run or walk!
