Hollywood loves Dorchester as a backdrop. Showtime’s City on a Hill – starring Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge was filming a in the neighborhood back in January. Fox is also making a pilot based on the best selling novel written by Dorchester’s own Denis Lehane and blockbuster movie starring Casey Affleck, Gone Baby Gone.
Next week, a new NBC pilot called “Suspicion” – a “Hitchcockian thriller” about a man who is coerced to becoming an informant for the FBI after accepting a loan from his millionaire neighbor – will be filming in the neighborhood. The pilot will star Derek Luke from 13 Reasons Why.
Hinkley St and Mayfield St will be closed intermittently due to filming. Parking will also be restricted to accommodate production equipment/vehicles. Look for no parking signs for where/when parking is prohibited. See memo below:
