Kick it! This year, not one but two teams from Dorchester Youth Soccer will play for the The Foyle Cup! This youth soccer tournament is held every year in Derry City, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The 2018 Foyle Cup will see 370 teams and over 6,500 kids take part in a six day festival of football throughout Derry, Strabane, Limavady, Coleraine and Donegal. The tournament attracts major teams including Celtic FC, Hearts FC, Partick Thistle, Norwich City, and Sheffield Utd as well clubs from France, Finland, Germany, USA and Canada. The O’Neill’s Foyle Cup is also the most heavily scouted tournament in the UK.
The U16 team and a U13 team leave for Ireland this week!! The boys playing are predominantly from Dorchester, with a few from South Boston. Both teams are coached by Dorchester resident, Joe Hobbs. We’ll be rooting for you!
