On Saturday around 4pm, a person was shot on Evans Street.  The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.  See report below:

Death Investigation in the area of 130 Evans Street in Dorchester: At about 3:56pm, on Saturday, March 31, 2018, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 130 Evans Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located a male victim, believed to be in his thirties, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was declared deceased on scene.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
